The Art of Listening - Where Science Meets Spirit

In my practice, I work at the intersection of structure and stillness, blending the structural precision of osteopathy with the profound depth of craniosacral and biodynamic therapy.

My sessions aim to release tension, stress, and pain stored within the body to align your whole system back into balance and health.

Possible benefits:

  • Reset of nervous system

  • Pain relief

  • Release of birth trauma in children and babies

  • Enhancement of sleep, digestion and deep relaxation

I offer  sessions for adults and children in Palm Beach, Waiheke Island:

My therapeutic approach

The Scientific Foundation:  The Intelligence of Form

From a structural perspective, my work is rooted in the deep understanding of functional anatomy and neurology that I apprehended during my education in Craniosacral therapy, Osteopathy and Naturopathy in Germany:

  • Neural Regulation: By engaging with the Craniosacral system, I work directly with the central nervous system, helping to down-regulate the sympathetic "fight or flight" response and inviting the body into a state of relaxation and parasympathetic repair (vagus nerve reset)

  • Fascial Continuity: Using gentle Osteopathic techniques, I follow the literal lines of tension within the connective tissue. Science shows us that fascia is a fluid-filled network that carries signals throughout the body. By releasing these physical restrictions, we restore blood flow, lymphatic drainage, and cellular communication.

  • The Fluid Tide: I monitor the Primary Respiratory Mechanism - the subtle, rhythmic motion of the brain, spinal cord, and cerebrospinal fluid that acts as the body's internal clock and motor - to help re-align your internal rhythm.

The Spiritual Essence: The Breath of Life

Beyond the bones and nerves lies the Biodynamic heart of my work—the recognition that a "Health" exists within you that can never be broken or lost.

  • Listening: This is more than a physical touch; it is a meditative presence. I hold a "wide perceptual field," allowing your system to expand and relax without judgement

  • The Breath of Life: In the Biodynamic tradition, we acknowledge a universal creative intelligence—the Breath of Life—that breathes through us. My hands act as a witness to this force, allowing it to re-order and re-align your system from the inside out.

  • Dynamic Stillness: The deepest healing often occurs in the "stillpoint." In these moments of profound quiet, the ego-mind steps aside, and the soul’s blueprint for health can re-assert itself, bringing a sense of "coming home" to your true essence.

I received training in Biodynamic Therapy based on the work of Dr. J. Jeleaous and Dr. J.E. Upledger through the authorized teacher Tom Esser M.Sc. Ost.

Harmonising the Whole

By addressing both the tangible tension and the intangible energy, I help you navigate the path from fragmentation back to wholeness. Whether we are unlocking a physical compression or clearing an emotional blockage held in the tissues, the goal is the same: to restore the natural flow of life.

In my work, healing isn’t forced; it is invited. It is a quiet, profound conversation between my hands and the living intelligence of the body.

Biodynamic & Craniosacral Therapy

"The Breath of Life"

Biodynamic Therapy is a gentle yet profound hands-on healing practice that honours the innate wisdom of the human body. Unlike traditional therapies that "fix" from the outside it creates a sacred, still space that allows your system to remember its "original blueprint" of health. [1, 2, 3, 4]

It was developed through the work of various Osteopaths, starting with the ideas of Dr. A. T. Still (1828-1917), the founder of Osteopathy, of an inherent health within the physical and spiritual body. Later on his ideas were taken further by Dr. W. Sutherland (1873- 1958), who discovered a rhythmic internal movement in the bones and tissues of the body. In the 1970´s the osteopathic phycician Dr. J. Upledger  introduces the CranioSacral Therapy into the osteopathic teachings after following extensive scientific studies from 1975 to 1983, based on Dr. Sutherland studies. The unique methodology of "Biodynamics of  Osteopathy" was founded by Dr. James Jeleaous (1943- 2021), who developed the work with the "Tide", the "Longitudale fluktuation" and the "Fluid Body" to deeply interact with the body´s  higher consciousness.

At the heart of Biodynamic & Craniosacral Therapy is the belief that a fundamental life force, often called the "Breath of Life," generates subtle, rhythmic motions throughout the body. [6]

  • The Tide: Practitioners are trained to "listen" with their hands to these internal tides, specifically the rhythmic fluctuations of the cerebrospinal fluid.

  • Health is Constant: A central idea is that health is never lost, no matter what illness or trauma a person has experienced. The therapy works by reconnecting you to this ever-present vitality. [1, 3, 7, 8]

How a Session Feels for you

During a session, you are lightly clothed, lying on a comfortable table. The practitioner uses a light, still touch—often at the head, feet, or sacrum—to create a relational field of safety. [8, 9, 10]

  • Deep Relaxation: Many clients enter a "dream-like" state between consciousness and sleep.

  • Still Points: The body may enter a "still point," a deep pause where the system stops its usual patterns to re-organize and heal from within.

  • Trauma Release: Because it is non-invasive and non-analytical, Biodynamic Therapy allows the nervous system to release stored trauma and stress without the need to "re-live" or talk through painful memories. However, if the patient feels the need to express emotions during the session I will gently guide you with SER- (Somato Emotional Release) techniques through the experience into a state of release and ease. [7, 9, 11, 12, 13]

Who Can Benefit?

Biodynamic therapy is a "whole-person" therapy, meaning it addresses the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. It is exceptionally gentle, making it suitable for everyone, including: [1, 14, 15, 16]

  • Newborns and Mothers: To resolve birth trauma, colic, or sleep issues.

  • Chronic Pain Sufferers: For relief from migraines, back pain, and sciatica.

  • Stress and Anxiety: To down-regulate an overactive nervous system and restore a sense of calm. [3, 10, 14, 15, 17, 18]

Ultimately, Biodynamic therapy is the "art of deep listening". It is a journey of self-discovery where the practitioner acts as a somatic guide, helping you move past your history and open doors to new feelings of joy, connection, and ease. [4, 19, 20]
